Normal Plasma Testosterone Concentrations after Marihuana Smoking

To the Editor: Recently, an inverse relation was found between plasma testosterone concentrations and the amount of marihuana purportedly smoked by chronic users.1 In attempting to verify this finding, Mendelson et al.2 found no significant decrease in the plasma testosterone levels of men whose marihuana usage was carefully monitored in a hospital for one month.Data collected in our laboratory support the latter finding.
