L-Phenylalanine Mustard (L-PAM) in the Management of Primary Breast Cancer — A Report of Early Findings

* Consent was obtained in compliance with federal and local guidelines. Each patient was informed that she would receive either L-PAM or a similar tablet containing no medication or active substance and that neither she nor her doctor would know which she was receiving.

The pathology section includes Edwin R. Fisher, project pathologist, Remigio M. Gregorio and Andrew Dekker. The statistical section is staffed by Carol K. Redmond, project statistician, and Headquarters by Donna L. Katrych, executive director, Norman Wolmark, project fellow, and Emillie Such, protocol co-ordinator.
