The end of the second sentence in the letter (page 2845) should have read, “and a reticulocyte count of 0.4% (normal range, 1.2 to 3.2)” instead of “and reticulocytosis (reticulocyte count, 0.4% [normal range, 1.2 to 3.2]).” The end of the third-to-last sentence in the letter (page 2846) should have read, “and vitamin B12 replacement” instead of “and subcutaneous injections of cyanocobalamin, 1000 μg per millimeter once a week.” The article has been corrected at NEJM.org.
