In the third paragraph under the heading “Epidemiology of Neisseria meningitidis” (page 1467), the fourth sentence should have read “The highest rate of disease occurs among the very young (Figure 1), but 62% of cases occur in individuals 11 years of age or older,” rather than “The highest rates of disease occur among the very young (Fig. 1), and 62% of cases occur in children younger than 11 years of age.” The text has been corrected on the Journal's Web site at www.nejm.org.
