Out of the Shadows — MRI and the Nobel Prize (Perspective, N Engl J Med 2003:349;2290 - 2292) . The legend to the figure on page 2291 should be entitled “Axial T2-Weighted MRI of the Brain,” not “Axial T1-Weighted MRI of the Brain,” as printed. The figure is reprinted from Figure 2 in Imaging the Brain (March 19, 1998;338:812–20). The first sentence of the legend to that figure, on page 819, should have read “Panel A is an axial T2-weighted MRI,” not “Panel A is an axial T1-weighted MRI,” as printed.
