On page 9, on lines 12 and 13, factor V Leiden should have been identified as “the mutation of guanine to adenine at nucleotide 1691,” not “the mutation of adenine to guanine at nucleotide 506,” as printed. The Results section of the abstract should have started, “The mutation at nucleotide 1691,” not “The mutation at nucleotide 506,” as printed. Also on page 9, in the right-hand column, the sentence that begins on line 10 should have read, “Resistance to activated protein C caused by a guanine-to-adenine mutation at nucleotide 1691,” not “caused by an adenine-to-guanine mutation at nucleotide 506,” as printed.
