On page 412, the sentence that begins on line 10 of the left-hand column should have read, “Twenty percent of enrolled patients had cardiac disease, as compared with 26 percent of those who were not enrolled,” not “Twenty-six percent of enrolled patients . . . as compared with 20 percent of those who were not enrolled,” as printed. Also, on page 413, the P values in lines 10–11 and line 13 of the left-hand column should have read “P>0.15” and “P>0.58,” not “P = 0.15” and “P = 0.58,” as printed. We regret the error.
