On page 264, the sentence that begins three lines from the bottom of the right-hand column should have read, “Furthermore, octreotide, like somatostatin, which is produced by lymphocytes and monocytes and released by nerve endings,^22,23 may inhibit the function of activated immune cells.” We regret the error.
