SUBSCRIPTION AND ACTIVATION

Site License

Q: How do I activate my site license or gain access as an administrator?
A: After your order is processed, you will receive an e-mail that contains your account information. Use the link provided to begin the activation process. Site-license administrators are responsible for maintaining up-to-date information on their accounts, i.e., username and password, IP addresses, and e-mail address.

Q: What happens to individual subscribers to the Journal who access through our site license?
A: Individual subscribers may still access NEJM Online using their personal username and password. They will have access to all content at NEJM Online, as well as access to their personal folders, CME files, saved searches, citation tracking, and PDA services.

Q: I can’t use IP-based access. Will the NEJM offer concurrent-user access in the future?
A: NEJM currently has no plans to offer institutional licenses to NEJM Online on a concurrent-user access basis. Institutions that seek this type of access may contact other distributors, who may be able to do so.

Print Subscription Plus 5 Workstations

Q: Can the Print Subscription Plus 5 Workstations be activated at five different physical sites?
A: Yes. This is acceptable as long as each workstation is physically located on the premises of, and controlled by, the institution that purchases this type of subscription access.

Q: Is access via proxy server permitted under the Print Plus 5 Workstations license?
A: No, proxy server access is not permitted. The Print Plus 5 Workstations license is intended for use with five workstations only.

A: You can request a reminder of your password from the institutional-account management area or by contacting Customer Service at institutionservice@nejm.org.

Q: Are usage reports available for my institution?
A: COUNTER-compliant usage reports are available in the institutional-account management area.
