5 WORKSTATIONS: FEATURES
Institutions with a current print subscription can enable access to NEJM
Online for up to five (5) on-site workstations at no additional cost.
Once your workstations are activated, administrators may view usage reports
and make use of a variety of account-management features.
Access to NEJM Online is based on the individual IP (Internet protocol)
addresses of up to five workstations on-site (on the physical premises)
at your institution. IP ranges, proxy servers, “wildcards,”
and remote usage are not permitted with this access plan.
NEJM Online offers institutions access to an enriched database of Journal
content including:
- Content in HTML and PDF formats
- Early-release articles with an impact on public health published
online before print
- Additional online-only supplements and images
- Full-text archive back to 1993; abstracts back to 1975
- Electronic interlibrary loan
- Detailed usage reports (COUNTER-compliant)
- Web site hosted by HighWire Press
- Customized Medline search functionality
- Table of Contents alerts
